Yes, you can go into your settings and click on whatever filters you do not want to show. Anything tagged with that filter will not show up for you anywhere on the gallery. Unfortunatley, there is not a way to do that for fandoms with this version of the site. Once we have the new version up, you will be able to block any fandom and any filter or tag from showing up for you.
