Oh this one... it's kind of old art as a whole as you can see but I thought it would be fun to show some art progression especially regarding a piece I made exclusively for this site.

The older picture is actually a detail of a bigger piece I made while roleplaying / brainstorming with another user here, but I'm not sure if they are back yet.

Aside from the pictures themselves, I can say Kaoru went through a bit of development as a character. He doesn't crossdress that much anymore (outside of his canon work, that is) but it's funny revisiting him wearing a kimono like this after a while. At that time I had no idea what Taikomochi were or that they existed, so I kept portraying Kaoru as a maiko nevertheless whenever he got to entertain someone. Still think he'd give a cute maiko-san somewhere in a paralel universe I like how he evolved though, and still have big plans for him! X3
